Tess Johnson may be best known as an Olympic mogul skier but the truth is, she is passionate about most outdoor activities. As a Vail Valley native, Tess spends her limited spare time hiking, mountain biking and generally exploring the breathtaking Colorado wilderness.
Hike with Tess on Friday, August 2nd is your chance to get your blood pumping and spend an afternoon hiking Beaver Creek Mountain with Tess.
Guests of all ages are encouraged to join this small group, which is capped at 10 participants. We suggest you be comfortable hiking a trail of moderate difficulty for about 3 miles. The pace will be set by the group and there is no time limit for completion, although we expect the whole expedition to take 3-4 hours.

Pets? Well-behaved, leashed dogs are welcome to ride the shuttle and participate in the hike. Dogs are always welcome at The Inn at Riverwalk!
The Timeline:
- 10 am: Meet in the The Inn's lobby
- 10:15 am: Board The Inn's shuttle, travel to Beaver Creek Mountain to meet Tess
- 10:30 am: Stretch those legs and start the hike!
- 11:30 am: *Lunch with a view at the top of the mountain
- 12:30 am: Complete the hike and snap photos with Tess
- 1:00 pm: Return to The Inn
*Lunch will be a tasty and nutritious meal provided by a local Edwards restaurant. It will be portable, as we plan to picnic at the top of the trail! Your lunch order will be taken in advance. All dietary restrictions can be accommodated.
What do I wear/bring? Hiking sneakers or boots with proper grip are required. Hiking poles are available at no cost from the Gear Garage at The Inn. Please bring plenty of water, as temperatures are expected to be warm. Wear plenty of sunscreen and bring an extra layer in case you burn, or in case we have a bit of rain.
