It’s the perfect place to stay, play, and save. With The Inn’s Stay & Save Program, guests receive discounts when booking more than one consecutive night. Gifts of Gratitude

Still looking for a gift for your loved one? Locally owned shops at the Riverwalk in Edwards offer unique gift ideas.

Head over to Vintage Magnolia, a florist who offers more than just gorgeous flower arrangements. The shop also carries unique home decor items and potted plants. For the fashionista, Ruby Jane & Valley Girl boutiques offer trendy and casual collections of clothing. There is also a fun and funky jewelry section for the lady who loves accessories. The Bookworm has best-selling books, unique titles, and gift sets for both him and her. Have a gearhead in your life? Ptarmigan Sports has a large selection of technical and casual clothing for both men and women as well as outdoor gear.

Love to Play

Enjoy quality time outside this Valentine’s Day. Impress your significant other by arranging a fun outdoor adventure.

Plan a ski day through Vail Mountain’s back bowls or Beaver Creek’s bumps and groomers. Take a break and stop for an on-mountain picnic. Scattered throughout the resort are decks lined with picnic tables that offer stunning mountain views. Bring a backpack and either pack your own gourmet spread or order a charcuterie box through The Grazing Fox. Boxes are beautifully arranged and filled with crackers, cheese, fresh and dried fruit, dips, and chocolate.

Strap on some skates and take a lap around the ice-skating rink in Beaver Creek. After skating, cozy up on a couch around a fire with a warm beverage or a drink. For a sweet treat, Rimini whips up decadent hot chocolate and specialty truffles. Or visit the Tiki Bar at Hooked, which serves island inspired cocktails in addition to their full bar.

Find solitude with your sweetheart on a snowshoe adventure. Away from the hustle and bustle of the resort villages, snowshoeing offers a quieter and more romantic way to explore the mountains. From groomed trails at one of the Nordic Centers to hiking through National Forest, snowshoeing is an easily accessible activity anyone can enjoy. Guests at The Inn at Riverwalk receive complimentary access to the Gear Garage, which is stocked with snowshoes and trekking poles. If you feel more comfortable with a guide, Paragon Guidesleads full and half day trips.

Soak in 360-degree mountain views via snowmobile on Nova Guide’s Top of the Rockies tour. Book a guided tour out of the historic Camp Hale and ride through open meadows and pine forests while ascending to 12,500 feet. Guests are rewarded with picturesque views of the surrounding mountain ranges. Wrap up your day with a warm lunch back at the lodge. Whether you each take your own sled or double up, it’s a unique excursion you’ll never forget.

Romantic Eats

A day full of adventure will work up an appetite. Set the mood for the evening by starting with sparkling wine and oysters, offered during happy hour from 3:30 - 5:30pm at the Mountain Fish House, located in The Inn at Riverwalk. After fresh seafood appetizers, head out to one of these top dining destinations.

With dimly lit interiors and contemporary elevated dishes, Juniper is a romantic date night spot that has been an Edwards staple for over twenty years. This riverside restaurant is a local’s favorite spot for a great ambiance, friendly staff, and consistently delicious dishes on their seasonal menu. Indulge in favorites such as the braised short rib with creamy polenta or veal scallopini topped with a rich lemon beurre fondue sauce. Finish the evening with the perfect pairing: Juniper’s fabulous hot sticky toffee pudding cake and a 10-year Tawny Port.

In one of the original homesites at the base of Beaver Creek, Mirabelle is a quaint restaurant serving fine dining French cuisine. Belgian Master Chef Daniel Joly welcomes diners into both his restaurant and home where he lives on-site. Inside the front doors, guests are greeted with a cozy seating area around a wood-burning fireplace. Grab a drink from the bar before being led through the home and into the dining room with large windows overlooking the patio and old growth trees. The setting is classic and charming, and the food is exquisitely prepared. Chef Joly takes great pride in providing a unique guest experience while using the best ingredients sourced from local providers and from his own garden and greenhouse. Choose from a modern menu of French classics or a four-course chef’s tasting menu, offered with or without wine pairings.

Located on-mountain above Bachelor Gulch Village, Zach’s Cabin provides a one-of-a-kind dining experience. Starting with a snowcat-drawn sleigh ride under the stars, guests are transported up the mountain to a luxury log chalet tucked in an aspen grove. With large log beams, a center stone fireplace, and floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the Gore Range Mountains, both the interior space and the menu is European-inspired. Every menu item is made in-house with a modern take on Alsatian cuisine - a blend of French and Germanic culinary styles. With a cozy atmosphere and elegant food, Zach’s Cabin has been awarded the Wine Spectator Best of Award of Excellence for 15 years.

Vin48, a local’s favorite in Avon, has a monthly rotating menu that incorporates seasonal ingredients into creative dishes. Rustic and contemporary plates are made for sharing. Pair your meal with a unique craft cocktail or choose from their extensive bar menu, which features more than 40 wines by the glass served via an enomatic wine system, dozens of beers, an extensive whiskey selection, and more than 100 varieties of spirits. Large windows wrap around the restaurant, creating an intimate space that is bright, sleek, and modern.

Wind Down

The Inn’s pool and hot tub offer a romantic setting under the stars and a spa-like atmosphere. Wrap up your evening with a late night soak set on the banks of the Eagle River. Grab a game from the Gear Garage and a nightcap from Mountain Fish House before retiring to your room for the night. Each room is equipped with modern amenities and everything you need for a comfortable stay.

No matter how you spend this Valentine’s Day, The Inn at Riverwalk is the perfect getaway for both locals and visitors.
