Farmers Markets

Colorado is known for many things: skiing, Red Rocks, mountains, and wide open possibilities for adventure. What about farmers markets? Yup! We have those too.

There are a handful of amazing markets close to The Inn at Riverwalk and we highly recommend you take a stroll through at least one during your visit. These aren't your average farmers markets, either. You will find hand-made jewelry, original artwork, and even jazz music as you make your way through looking for Palisade peaches. (If you haven't had a Palisade peach before, we highly recommend trying).

The closest farmers market is Edwards Corner, which is directly across the street from the Riverwalk Saturdays mid-June through late September from 9am-1:30pm. Stop by Clark Family Orchards' stall for fresh and delicious fruit. Pick up an out-of the ordinary pack of pasta from Pasta More. Don't forget a salmon sandwich from Kaleb's Katch to munch on while you stroll.

By far the quirkiest market is located in Minturn. The Minturn Artisan Market takes place Saturdays mid-June to earl September from 9 am-2 pm. Aside from creamed honey from Bjorn's and funky flavors from Climax Jerky, you will find everything from hot sauce to dog treats, artisan shoes to essential oils.

The Vail Farmers' Market and Art Show is an event you can spend hours wandering (and eating) your way through. On Sundays mid-June through mid-October 10 am-3:30 pm, this market is not to be missed. There is always live music, usually in the form of jazz or bluegrass. The food stalls are endless and the artwork is unique.

Whichever market you choose to attend, you are sure to have a wonderful day peeking into the everyday lives of Vail Valley locals.
